Today my little sis turns 18!

When I first left for Australia, you were a little pumpkin, and now you're all grown up and officially an adult! This year you just started a new phase in your life. I loved my college / uni days, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. Learn all you can. Not just in school, but all around you and all life has to offer. May your year be filled with many discoveries and many adventures.

Project 365 - Days 23 to Days 70 - 18/12/10 to 04/02/11

Yes I've been away a long time. I've still been taking my Project 365 photos, but (gasp) not everyday though. I realise that some days I really just don't have anything to take a photo of.

That's what my life's like most days. Spend most of my hours at work, and work's.. well, work. There are only so many photos I can take of my calculator and highlighter.

Anyway, I have been procastinating because the pile of photos seem too big, and it's only getting bigger and bigger, so I thought I better just do it. Then I can get back into the rhythm of a photo a day. :)

Day 23 - At the airport while waiting to board the plane to good old Miri, I had a mini pizza for breakfast. Nom nom.

Day 24 - I got remeasured for the wedding dresses for the photography, and gasp, my waist size increased from 10 months previously. I was sure I had lost some inches though! Apparently the second time she measured a different spot, a.k.a. not my waist waist. <- I didn't make this up! This is according to my sister.

Day 25 - The last photography session. A very tiring day. This is me in the Japanese costume.

Day 26 - Had lunch at Yakin. Haven't had F & N Anggur (Grape) forever. Sackboy loves it! (By the way, I've since named this Sackboy Laurie.)

Day 27 - Got up (relatively) early and left the family back in the hotel. Walked across the street and enjoyed Kueh Chap by myself. I miss this so much!

Day 28 - This is the night of our (second) wedding reception! It was massive, and we had a ball!

Day 29 - Lol. This was on the wedding car parked in front of the hotel. None of us had ever seen black dolls as wedding mascots. They are normally teddies, angels, or other cutesy things. These are black things with ju-ju lips!

Day 30 - Christmas! A very hot and sticky Christmas day. Always nice to cool down with Special Peng. My fave! With Jiu Hu Eng Cai (Cuttlefish & Spinach) and Fritters.

Day 31 - Pizza Hut for an early birthday dinner with family. Wedding presents from Tonia - a piggy bank and wedding bears! Sackboy loves them!

Day 32 - Sackboy was not very happy about being stuck in the KL airport overnight. But Sackboy loves McDonald's, especially Prosperity Beef Burger and Curly Fries.

Day 33 - Finally on the plane home. Cup noodles for breakfast.

Day 34 - Early birthday presents from J. Spoilt! I love the paper! Look at the moo-moo's.

Day 35 - MIL was the sweetest and made me a special birthday dinner. Roasted vegie salad with salmon steaks and gourmet fetta.

Would you believe I didn't take any photos for Day 36 & 37 which were New Year's Eve & New Year's Day? Lol. Shows what I was doing - nothing.

Day 38 - A surprise birthday present left at my doorstep. Candles.

Day 39 - A non-traditional big breakfast. Eating up leftovers. Lettuce. Lol.

Day 40 - Mmmmm.... Shapes....

Day 41 - Nothing exciting so took a photo of SKII.

Day 42 - Was tired of wiry dry hair (especially after rebonding). Kerastase to the rescue!

Day 43 - Remembered that I had unassembled stamps (birthday presents from MIL & SIL)! Was very happy, and immediately proceeded to assemble the sets, ready for use! These, by the way, are from Stampin Up! in case you're wondering.

Day 44 - I love a good cobb. I love how they are so round a big and puffy.

Day 45 - MIL made some cupcakes and muffins for us. I love cupcakes (vanilla) but I'm not a big fan of icing. In the end, I scraped off the icing and just nommed the cake. Hehe.

Day 46 - Part of my Lite N Easy diet, I'm required to buy skim milk. T_T Always been a full fat milk kinda girl. I went halfway and bought Hi-Lo.

Day 47 - I thought this was gonna be my last can of Coke for a while. Uhh.. I've had a few more since then.

Day 48 - My first order for Lite N Easy arrived! Was very impressed, except for the packaging. Still doing it now, and loving it. Healthy, yum, filling, convenient.

Day 49 - First Lite N Easy lunch - BLT Salad.

Day 50 - Second Lite N Easy lunch - Chicken Tender Wrap.

Day 51 - Went to a birthday bbq. First time I came across a mini Coke can like this one. Very cute!

Day 52 - Got a new fridge. (Need more space for all Lite N Easy stuff.. j/k.) Juuuustt managed to reach the top of the box.

Day 53 - Finally! I handed in my paperwork, and completed my CPA requirements. I can now have letters behind my name. Mwahahaha.

Day 54 - Colleague came back from Indonesia, and bought back some nuts from Bali. Apparently a specialty. Very tasty - don't think it was helping my Lite N Easy diet. Lol.

Day 55 - Lite N Easy dinner - Sausages & Onion Gravy.

Day 57 - Went to an outdoor cinema and watched Avatar (again for like the 4th time or something). The trees were beautiful illuminated by the spotlights.

Day 58 - Got a relaxing facial at Ella Bache. And a nice hot cup of ginger tea and a baby chocolate muffin after.

Day 59 - Had Book Club meeting at a winery and had nibbles and drinks. Bec got us some funny badges. Lol. I picked a tame one. "I'd rather be reading".

Day 61 - Lite N Easy lunch - Burger.

Day 64 - Friday night drinks at work. Lemon Lime & Bitters.

Day 65 - Tried to rearrange my craft room, but instead left a mess everywhere. It still looks like that.

Day 66 - I have been holding on to this forever. I am finally ready to move it along. It's made as a drinks coaster, but I never sealed the surface, so it's not usable.

Day 70 - Adopted another Sackboy. This one's called Benny.

I merely disappeared for 5 minutes just to get some pasta, and I came back to my desk to find this!

I'm overjoyed. I loooooveeeeee Kikki K. But I'm going mental as well, because I have been running around the office harassing everybody, trying to find out who bought it, but no one is telling, and everyone's denying it's them. -_-

Ah well. I just hafta wait till my spies tell me next week. Hehe.

But whoever it is, I loveeeeee the pressie! Thank you sooooo muchhhhh!

I had a dream that I forgot to take a photo for today, and then I realised in the morning that it wasn't a dream. -_-

Went to our Book Club Christmas.

A 'proper' Book Club has:

- A coordinator

- A theme

- A meeting structure

- A book that you must read and discuss 'properly'

- No gossiping

- No alcohol

- No twisties

Our Book Club is, umm, not any of that! We get together and chat about books (randomly!) and pretty much anything and everything else! But we have the best time ever, and if I may say, we have become very good friends!

Today J & I met up with G & F for lunch. We went to Taka's Kitchen in Shafto Lane. Hadn't been there for ages. The food was still very very yummy and very good value for money. I had the Japanese croquettes or potato cakes. I wanted more miso soup though! I always finish the tiny bowl in two slurps!

We were up in York to see my brother-in-law jump out of an aeroplane! :D That was really really cool btw. The company was very professional (and fun!) and I was very impressed with it all. Plug: http://www.skydive.com.au/

Anyway, crossed a trainline that went forever and ever and ever. Uhh.. not sure where it went. Didn't see any trains on it that day.

My skin has been horrible lately. Well it's always been horrible (I'm terrible at looking after my skin), but lately it's extra bad. Anyway, went to Ella Bache for a long overdue facial. Loved every minute of it, and love how my skin feels after. Ella Bache facial ftw!

Project 365 - Day 7 - 02/12/10

Some of you may know I'm a Lion. Specifically I'm a member of the Ellenbrook Lions Club. "What? Why? But you're not old!" is what I get a lot. Lol!

Well, I was an Interactor (Rotary Club Youth Program - Interact Club) at high school, and then a Leo (Lions Club Youth Program - Leo Club) at uni for a while. And I hadn't done anything for a long time until I moved to Ellenbrook, and I kept seeing these Lions everywhere! I thought, wow, how great would it be to be part of these people who look like they are having so much fun, and being involved with community events and projects! I finally decided I was going to join when I attended the Christmas Carols, because I just loved the atmosphere, and what these people have done for the community, and again, they looked like they were having so much fun! It still took me a few more months before I finally took the plunge and joined though!

Anyway, a few months ago a family came to the club for help to raise funds to purchase a Pilates Reformer for Sarah who suffers from auto-immune arthritis. The machine will drastically improve her quality of life. The Lions decided to donate all proceeds from an upcoming Swap Meet to the cause, and she has now got her Pilates Reformer! So last night she and her family attended our meeting to come and say Thank You to us. And this was what she made us:

It's the first day of December! Yay! Which means officially we can start singing Christmas Carols! Though I was asked to stop singing by my co-workers. :x

The first of December is of course when the Christmas tree goes up! In Australia anyway. Not sure about other countries. This year I cheated a bit and put it up earlier so I can still get 4 weeks of enjoyment from it since I'm going away before Christmas. PpPppfffbbbttt to you who don't like it.

My mother-in-law decided to give up scrapbooking, so she was giving away her scrapbook supplies. And she gave me a whole heap of goodies, including stuff from my favourite company Stampin' Up! The highlight for me was a stack of Stampin' Up papers. ~~Wanted~~ Needed those!

Ugh! I was a bit wary about posting this at first. But I'll be glad I did (I hope!) as I'll look back and remember with ~~fond~~ memories.

So, I removed my nail polish that morning, and this was what I found:

Bruises on my big toes! J reckons it's from too-long toe nails + closed shoes + walking too much (in Melbourne) = pressure = bruises. I think he's right, as I can offer no other explanation.

I've been meaning to start Project 365 for a few years ago, since first hearing about it. For those new to it, I believe the Project is simply to take a photo of everyday things in your life each day for 365 days, and your year will be represented in photos! Anyway, since I recently got a smartphone (HTC Desire HD ftw!), I thought there really isn't any excuse not to do it now. I first thought of starting it 01/12/10 leading up to Christmas, or 01/01/11 being the new year, but thinking "tomorrow never comes", I jumped right in and decided to start the project that day.

So, this is my Day 1 photo:

Lol! How appropriate to start my project with McDonald's and a pink milkshake! As many of you know, I loveeee McDonald's, and I loveeee pink. So there ya go!
